A couture collection designed in Italy for my junior studio. Inspired by the french surrealist, Louise Bourgeois' sculpture titled "Maman" using spiders as a metaphor for motherhood.
This piece was designed using traditional pattern making techniques as well as an original crochet techniques on the dress meant to imitate cobwebs and 13 hand beaded wire spiders i spent the semester designing.
